SUMMARY:GreenSpirit Annual Gathering - Shamanism: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Life and Healing
DESCRIPTION:I will be the main facilitator – shamanic workshops and Cacao ceremony – and speaker at the Green Spirit Annual Gathering\, which takes place from the 29th September to 1st October in Derbyshire. The gathering is residential\, in a beautiful estate\, very reasonably priced and everybody is welcome. \nIf you are interested\, please check the info on the organisers website and book directly: GREENSPIRIT.org   \n  \nMore information from the host:  \nShamanism has been practiced for centuries all over the world and is based on the principle that humans are part of the totality of nature. Interest in shamanic practices is increasing. Around the world shamans are known as healers with connections with the spirit world who understand how humans can achieve balance and harmony. \nWe welcome Christa Mackinnon who will give us an overview of traditional and contemporary shamanism\, the shamanic view of the world and the human being within the web of life. Her talk will then address various universal shamanic key concepts and their applications through psycho-spiritual approaches and practices for healing of the individual and the community. \nAfter her talk we have the opportunity to take a shamanic journey that invites participants to connect with and nourish their Earth Souls. \nThis will be followed by a sharing circle. \nAs part of our weekend we will also join together in a heart-opening\, transformational cacao ceremony. Cacao is the Amazonian plant medicine known as the ‘Food of the Gods’ and the ‘Food of Love’. \nThe weekend will start at the evening meal on the Friday and will end after lunch on the Sunday. During the weekend we will also have a chance to connect with each other and the natural world with some ceremony and meditations\, creative activities\, informal conversations\, and\, after our AGM on Sunday\, have the chance to share what we are taking away from the weekend. \nAll food during the weekend will be vegetarian. Vegan or other diets for medical reasons can be catered for. \nEveryone is very welcome to this event; you do not need to be a GreenSpirit member to join in. Our gatherings are a mixture of old friends and new and we look forward to meeting you.
